Return & Refund Policy

Modern Darling, operated by Root & Sprout Innovations, offers returns and refunds for eligible orders delivered in India.

Return window and eligibility

You may request a return within 7 calendar days of delivery.

Modern Darling offers returns and refunds only. Exchanges are not available.

To be eligible, a product must:

• Be unused and in its original condition.
• Have its original packaging and tags intact.
• Include applicable original accessories.
• Be supported by reasonable proof of purchase or order details.

Modern Darling may request photographs or other information to verify the item’s condition.

Other than the conditions above, there are no additional product-category exclusions.

Reverse shipping

Modern Darling will bear the return or reverse-shipping cost for approved returns, including normal customer returns or change-of-mind returns that meet this policy, and damaged, defective, or incorrect products.

Please contact us before returning an item so we can provide the next steps.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please report a damaged, defective, or incorrect item within 48 hours of delivery at contact.moderndarling@gmail.com, with your order details and, where available, photographs of the issue.

Refunds

Once an approved returned product is received and inspected, Modern Darling will initiate the refund within 3–5 working days.

Refunds are normally made to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the refund.

The original ₹39 shipping fee is non-refundable for standard returns or change-of-mind returns. However, if the item received is damaged, defective, or incorrect due to an error on Modern Darling’s part, the original shipping fee will also be refunded.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights available under applicable Indian law.
